Mashooo is the first Silverlight games dedicated website.
Founded in March 2008 Mashooo is the brain child of
Silverlight Girl and APIJunkie
. The story of how Mashooo came to be is set forth below. Be warned, it is for the faint of heart.
"One day, in a far away place, not so long ago, Silverlight Girl and APIJunkie stumbled
across this really cool and spanking new technology called Silverlight.
After the initial infatuation phase, Silverlight Girl and APIJunkie decided to embark on a
little game writing adventure together.
Although Silverlight was in its beta stages, their first experience was wonderful
and they wanted to share it with the world.
But alas, the world is a cold place, especially when it comes to new technologies.
In fact the only place who would accept Silverlight games at the time was Microsoft's
own Silverlight web site.
Disappointed but not discouraged the semi courageous pair decided to look for an
alternative.
Then one night Silverlight Girl dreamt of a place where new technology was not shun away because
of the color of its logo or the popularity of its parents. A place where people
who knew how to appreciate good technology, would flock together. It was a beautiful
place where developers and gamers would get together to discuss, create and play
Silverlight games.
This is how on June 18, 2008 Mashooo.com first saw the light of day."
-----------
Mashooo strives to be the Silverlight Gamers Community. Since its inital release
we have been adding features like the Silverlight gaming forums, the Silverlight
gamers resource center and most recently we have added the revenue sharing program
to encourage the development of high quality Silverlight games on the internet.
Mashooo is the place where Internet users will find interesting and challenging
games to play and where game developers and designers come to learn more about Silverlight,
find the tools and resources they need, and show the world their creations.
We are not in any way related to Microsoft. We just recognize interesting technology
when we see it.
